Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in North Carolina

And i might have an answer about a claim. But i need more details.

Since you posted under credit/debt/collections, I will assume this is some kind of unsecured debt, credit card or personal loan. Student loan and secured debts are different animals.

Have you been sued? Or is your account just delinquent? Who is the creditor, both original and current? Is there an NC lawyer involved and if so who? When was the last time you made a payment of any kind on the debt?

Or is a debt collector just calling you about the debt?
