Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in North Carolina

old repo...

I had a car repo'd many years ago (about 7) in NC and they have tracked me down once again in FL. They are now threatening to sue me and wipe out my accounts. They say that they don�t have the actual repo date but the last pmt (from auction I guess) was 7/02. Can they really do this or this just another threat? Should I put all my accounts in just my husbands name?

I was told today that I will be served papers shortly and that the court date is 1/30/08. But I believe they still think I�m in NC. I moved to FL 5 years ago. If they can�t serve me then I won�t be in court. I'm very nervous. I have 2 children...including a daughter with Autism. Please help me. Thank you. Kimberly
