Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in North Carolina

My son recently had to change from private school to public school, due to dad not being able to afford it anymore. I still owe them money, they will not release his transcripts until it is paid. My son will have to take freshmen year over again because of my wrongful doing , I'm willing to make payments. Is there anything that can be done so my son can move on to sophomore year . Unfortunartely the private school as the right to do this. You need to see if you can work out a payment plan. Otherwise, your only option would be to file bankruptcy, discharge the debt and get the transcript that way
