Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in North Carolina
If my spouse owes several debtors (incurred before we were married), and I (debt-free) purchase a house with mortgage and title in my name only, can debtors put a lein on it just because we are married? I live in NC.

No. Creditors can't go after assets in your name.
