Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in North Carolina

I am being sued by the Attorney General in another state for my defaulted student loan. Can I negotiate with the AG to get this loan rehabilitated instead of going to court? I cannot travel to another state and I do not want a default judgment against me. Thank you.

You can always negotiate any suit or claim against you. You need to contact the Attorney General at the address/phone number on the complaint or any letter sent to you and see what agreement you can reach.
