Summons - not our debt

We have received a Summons for a debt that is our son's and not ours. However son and father have same name, except for Sr and Jr. Collectors have been told this and they still call and harass us and now have served a summons. What do we do with this summons?

You definitely respond or else you will get a default judgment against you. Either contact an attorney for help or learn how to file an answer where you deny everything and raise applicable defenses. You must respond within 30 days of service.

(Responds means filing the answer with the Clerk of Court and sending a copy to the Plaintiff).
