Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in North Carolina

I have a vehicle that was financed with drivetime. They sent me the title, free and clear in my name. Am I required to continue to make payments?

I cannot answer as to why they sent you the title. But what puzzles me is why you think you can stop paying for the car. You signed the financing contract and are obligated to pay for the car. When they dscover their mistake they will try to re-establish their lien and will succeed. You will be in default if you stop paying and I would not recommend that.
