Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in North Carolina

Can my wages be ganished?

I work and live in Fort Lauderdale, FL. I own a house in North Carolina that my wife and kids live in. I owe about $10,000 to a credit card company and they said they would put a judgement against me. Can my wages be ganished? I also had a previous bankruptcy about 5 years ago (chap.7) Can I file banruptcy again?

Re: Can my wages be ganished?

Chances are that your wages are exempt from garnishment because you probably qualify as "head of household".

Bankruptcy filing, under the new laws, prevent you for filing again at this time.
