Legal Question in Criminal Law in North Carolina
My 21 yr old daughter was being assaulted by her live with boyfriend. She called me and her mother screaming for help. We went to her house and opened the door and were pushed out by boyfriend. Did we have the legal right to go in the house because she asked us to for help?

Who owns the house? If your daughter owns the house then no, the boyfriend has no right to push you out. If the boyfriend owns there, then you have no legal right to force your way onto the premises. You only have a license to visit if you are admitted.
Your response should have been to contact the police immediately. I hope you and the daughter both file charges against the boyfriend for assault.
