Legal Question in Criminal Law in North Carolina
Afraid they will let him go!
A relative is awaiting arraignment for stealing several cars in one evening with the intent to steal the belongings in the cars along with the some of the stereos. He was caught with all the possessions. He has been in prison, in the past, serving serveral years in another state.
He has many mental problems, such as schizophrenia, bipolar and too many others to list. We want to see him get the help he needs but do not want him to be set free. We are afraid that he will be let out with probation. What are the chances of that happening in N.C. with his past record? We believe he would be a flight risk. Please help with any info. He has a young child that we want to see put with other relatives.

Not knowing the exact offenses he is being charged with, I would venture to say that with his past record, his chances of probation only in NC are slim to none.
