Legal Question in Criminal Law in North Carolina

Can I beat a second degree trespassing case if the person had my property on their property? I was charged with second degree trespassing, I was on the property because this person had tried to steal my sunglasses. I knocked on his door, I saw my sunglasses on his kitchen table I walked in, grabbed them, he said they weren't mine then after that I asked him to call the cops 3 times and he refused.

Were you told to leave his property? That is defiant trespass. Were the sunglasses really worth it?

Stay away from he and his property and pray that he does not file criminal charges with the magistrate.
