Legal Question in Criminal Law in North Carolina

I was charged with possession of marijuana almost a year ago. My case is supposed to be dismissed upon completion of drug program within a year. I work and live on my own and have not really been able to come up with all the money i have to pay for the class and court costs. Is there anyway i will be able to get an extension or something?
