Legal Question in Criminal Law in North Carolina
I need to know what communicating a threat means and if I have a reason to contact my local police department. Backgorund story: Me and my first wife separated and divorced since 2001/2002 and as a result, I got custody of our young son. Recently, she has been causing a lot of problems bewteen me and my son who is going through normal teenage situations. She pays child support but has been sporatic with that. A situation came up between me and him and she left me several voicemails using a lot of curse words and in one she says she will "F" me up. Does that rise to the level of communicating a treat and do I have cause to contact my local police department?
