Legal Question in Criminal Law in North Carolina
Would it be considered a crime if someone attempts to lock a family inside of a fence? It includes a minor child. The family would have no access to food, water or escape.

I don't need any additional info - of course this would be a crime - actually probally several crimes! However, the scenario is not believable - it would have to be a very substantial fence to keep a healthy adult of average intelligence confined.
