Five counts means you have been charged with five separate fraud charges (different transactions or victims).

It means you are accused of committing the crime five times. If convicted, you will be sentenced as if you'd done it four times before. The prosecutor has the discretion to charge each transaction (for example, each time you run a credit card) as a separate count. Contact me directly if you have more questions.
