Legal Question in Criminal Law in North Carolina

My daughter was accused of an attempt to robb a store and threating an employees well being. When she merely went to the store to purchase food and the door was locked and the store was open. This store locks their doors at 12midnight but closes at 1am the let the customers in after 12. My daughter visibly saw an employee inside so she knocked on the door. He called the police and had her car and license searched because of the alegations I just mentioned. Should she seek legal advice?
