Legal Question in Criminal Law in North Carolina

embezzelment

I think i am about to be accused of embezzelment. I do not want to run from it but i do need a little time to figure out what to do and how to pay for an attorney. So i would like to know what states close to me do not extradite to north carolina and what if i never intended to keep the money, I was going to pay it back asap?

Re: embezzelment

If you flee to avoid prosecution the feds can pick this up and charge you federally. NC can ask any state to extradite you and most will if the evidence is there. There are no states that will flat out refuse to return criminal defendants. You will be able to show your intent at trial. At this time that intent is not relevant. I do not know all the details here. If you want to fill out the details further you can e-mail me at [email protected].

Good luck either way.
