Legal Question in Criminal Law in North Carolina
I am facing charges for trafficing LSD. However I happen to know that when the results from the crime lab come back they will show that the chemical was not LSD and that it is a new none scheduled substance. Will they have to drop the LSD charges?

I would strongly recommend that you hire a GOOD criminal defense attorney. Simply because the chemical does not come back as LSD does not preclude a serious criminal charge. You do not want to tip your hand in this matter. It may well be that this is an issue which you do not want to raise until during trial. With a Trafficking charge you are facing a significant amount of active time. You need to be certain that your attorney prepares the case from the very beginning for full litigation.
