Legal Question in Criminal Law in North Carolina
A former friend has emailed me several times, and I've asked him to stop or I'd take legal action.
Can I really take any legal action? Nothing inappropriate was said. It simply annoys me.
Someone told me I could get a restraining order or charge him with harassment. True?

I suppose you could try, but that seems pretty drastic (both in terms of the effort for you and the consequences for him) over a mere annoyance. Why not just set up an email filter to direct all of his messages into your trash can instead of your inbox?
