Legal Question in Criminal Law in North Carolina

My friend is serving 120 days for a misdemeanor charge for a restraining order violation. He has court coming up for a felony probation violation that could be 90 days to 17 months. Will he have to do both sentences?

Depends mostly on the skill of his attorney and whether he is found guilty or not. Even if he is found guilty, he may not do all of the time but it is possible.
