Legal Question in Criminal Law in North Carolina
My girlfriend got out of prison in 2004 and was put on probation for 3.5 years she was suppost to do community service drug classes and get her ged and pay her restitution of almost $8,000.00, she did the drug classes and community service but couldnt pay but $475 in restitution with 6 months left she had to move and tried to contact her probation officer because he moved offices after several attempts she just gave up after 6 almost 7 years they rearested her and charged her with 3 probation violation's but nobody can tell us what the violaton's are for she is sup post to go to superior court on January 7th 2013 she has a publice defender i no nothing about the laws but need advice on what to do and what could happen either way for the good and for the bad please she is on probation for mistomenter b&e and felony larcaney can you tell me anything.

If she has been assigned a Public Defender, the attorney should explain everything clearly to your girlfriend. If she was arrested because of those probation violations, its pretty clear what she was arrested for and what at least some of the violations are - in fact you spell them out right in your question - she didn't pay restitution and she stopped contacting her probation officer - boom back into the pokey you go! You do get to 'give up' on contacting your probation officer without bad things happening. As to the possible outcomes, most likely the best case scenario is she is allowed to continue on probation. Worst case scenario would be to serve active time in jail.
