Legal Question in Criminal Law in North Carolina
Non-North Carolina Resident Cited for Possession of Marijuana
I recently was cited of possessing a gram to a gram and a half of ''dope'' in dare county. I must appear on sept. 12 I court. I wanted to know what the maximum penalty for this violation. Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Depends of what the "dope" was. Pot? Crack? Powder? Ecstacy? Pot is class 3 Misdemeanor. Likely fine. Other drugs are generally low class felonies. E-mail me with more info.
Good luck,
