Legal Question in Criminal Law in North Carolina
Prayer fot judgement
hi I am a college student ready to graduate. in the past year i had my unfortunate run with the law and receivced a controlled substance charge. At court i took a pray for judgement and went on my way.
Now since i am looking for a job was i convicted of this crime or just charged with it? if an employer asks if i've ever been convicted of a crime do i have to say yes?
please help

Re: Prayer fot judgement
A prayer for judgement (PJC) means that if you are not convicted of anything else for 1 yr after the court date then the charge does not hurt your record. You were charged with something but you were not convicted of it, as long as you stay out of trouble for 1 yr after. I am assuming there was nothing the judge ordered you do.
