Legal Question in Criminal Law in North Carolina
I received a ticket about two weeks ago in November. The police wrote my court date for January 12, 2009, which is in the past. Does this invalidate my ticket?

That really does not have any legal effect. You should probably assume that he meant 1/12/2010.
