Legal Question in Criminal Law in North Carolina
I was recently turned down for a pistol permit because of a felony charge 35 years ago when I was 17 years old. My father made a deal with the DA at the time for me to go into the military and complete a tour honorably which I did. I currently live in NC and that is where the record is.

According to the information you posted you should be eligible for an expungement of your record under NCGS 15A-145. Then you should be able to get the permit. Contact our office if you have any further questions.
