Legal Question in Criminal Law in North Carolina
Recording a conversation in North Carolina
I would like to obtain proof that someone pawned my guitar. The person who pawned it obviously would have no problem telling authorities that it never happened. I would like to record our conversations about the matter both on the phone and in person. Would this be legal?

No, but you should find out where this person had item pawned (shop). If you have a police report showing it was stolen you will have no problem retainig from pawn shop with the assistance.
