If you are arrested in the state of North Carolina-on criminal charges-What happens if you are not ''Read your rights?''

While it can be an important defense in certain situations, the failure to have your rights read to you is not always fatal to the state moving forward with the charges. More information would be needed from you including what you were charged with, whether ultimately your rights were read to you, whether you went to jail, and whether you made any statements that will be used against you in further criminal proceedings.
