Legal Question in Criminal Law in North Carolina

what do I need to do? I'm from a small town that for some reason the police department and sheriff's office have it out for me my lawyer doesn't want to go against them bc that's his job and he has to live there and deal with them. we had a trial a few days ago where I got supervised probation for a year for window tint. I have a clean record. I also have charges going back 4 years ago that want be handled for some reason and I can't get my motion of discovery bc they don't have one so I said let's take it to trial.

Law enforcement likely doesn't 'have it out for you' for no reason - you likely did something. And you don't get supervised probation for just a tint violation. So right off the bat - your story is suspect. However, what you say about your lawyer rings potentially true - many local attorneys do not have the sack to go up against the local people in power. If that's the case, consider firing your attorney and hiring a new one and maybe look in neighboring counties. Best of luck.
