Legal Question in Criminal Law in North Carolina

If you are threatened, and asalted, on a public golf course wher you are a pass holder and play at this course approx three times a week. get into your car to leave stop toget somenthing you forgot the person who asalted you comea up behine you in his truck gets out and starts at you threating again you reach into you reach into your car for a gun do not point it at him but let him know you have it he leaves this hapened in the street all is over except the golf corse tells me i cant play until they assest the prolbem was i in my wrong and is the golf course in its right.

Of course you were wrong. You don't 'reach for a gun unless 1) you are in reasonable fear of serious bodily injury and / or death AND 2) you intend to use the gun. Pulling it out to show it to someone as a passive aggressive statement of 'don't 'f' with me' definitely gives the golf course cause to evaluate how they want to deal with you in the future.
