Legal Question in Criminal Law in North Carolina
I have an unserved warrant
I just found out that I have a warrant in NC from 4 years ago when I renewed my DL. It's nonextraditeable. How come this whas never shown up on any background checks for work but at the dmv it does? I am worried because I am in nursing school and have to do an fbi fingerprint check to get my license. I've never had fingerprints taken will I still pass?

Re: I have an unserved warrant
I am asuming this is an FTA for a traffic infraction, and it can be handled here in NC, but it truly depends on what you did.It will not go away on its own, ever with out dealing with it. If t his is a criminal matter there are several tailored remedies for you, but it truly depends on what your charge was/is.If I can be of more assistance you can call or email me.

Hopefully an NC attorney will respond to your question. You need to get an NC lawyer to resolve the warrant (which may be similar to a traffic or Class C in Texas).
The warrant will probably appear on the fingerprint check. When you make your nursing application, you will also be questioned on this issue. You need to get it resolved, without a conviction. Certain convictions will negatively affect your license application.
