Legal Question in Elder Law in North Carolina
Both my father and mother are in a long term care facility on Medicaide. My father just past I am the POA for both. I just received a death benefit check for 10,000 do o have to notify them of this or can I pay for funeral expenses for it

If you can't afford the funeral expenses yes then you can use that check.
