Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina

i have my 11 year old son @ home living with me,my ex has to go to court april 1 2011 for failure to comply with the childsupport order, i also recived a letter saying i have to be in court because she has filded a motion to modify, because she was let go of her job. my question is what will happen to the money she owes and what will happen because she is not working?will she be made to pay her monthy order?

The court will usually make her pay the past due that accrued before she filed the motion even if they give her a modification going forward due to the job loss.
