Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina
My 12 year old son is scared of his father and refuses to visit with him. He is in counsleing and still will not visit, how do I protect my son without forcing him to be alone with someone he is afraid of?

You are going to have to seek an order from the court. I am not sure of the basis for his fears, but the child's psychologist may be able to shed light on this. The psychologist will have to testify or give a report to the court to justify this request. You must have a family law attorney if there is court-ordered visitation. If so, use that attorney as he or she is most familiar with the case. If not, find one and seek modification of the court order.
