Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina
I am 16 years old and I live with my dad. I have a little brother, we have the same mother, but different fathers. My 6 year old brother lives in a unfit place with his father, and my mother is on drugs and is homeless. Is there any legal way I can get custody or my father can get custody of him? Or if they agree is it legal to have him just come live with us?

If they agree perhaps he can come and live with you and your Dad, but ideally your Dad should be named his guardian by the local Clerk of Court if he does come to live with you.
I think you should call Child Protective Services at your county's Department of Social Services and ask them to investigate. That number for where you are is 828-265-8100.
Or, call the Council for Children's Rights in Charlotte and they can tell you what to do to help your little brother. Their number is 704-372-7961.
Hopefully one of these agencies can help get your little brother out of that bad situation and maybe he can come and live with you and your dad.
But you are doing the right thing, trying to help your little brother. Keep at it. You may end up saving his life. You are an excellent big brother. Good luck.
