Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina

am trying to get advice on how to go about getting a name change for my 5 year old grandson, My step daughter was living in South Carolina with her boyfriend at the time of his birth and listed the boyfriend as the boys father on the birth certificate. They have since broken up and the boyfriend has had no contact with his son in over 4 years. My step daughter would like to change her son's last name back to Tanbusch. What do we need to do

A simple name change will do the trick. Any competent general practice attorney can do this for you. If they charge you more than $500, go somewhere else, it's a simple matter of filling out a few forms and following a few simple rules.
