alienation of affection

My wife and I were living on the west coast (40 years+), but she being from the east coast orginally decided she wanted to come back east so I rented an apartment for her. Come to find out she was seeing another man and spending most of the week-ends at his home. When I found out about it, I did not renew the lease on the apartment and she moved in with him. She is now living with him and has been for over a year. I would like very much to sue him for alienation of affection. What steps need to be taken in order to pursue such an action and what would I need to prove? Thank you.

You will have to show a loving marriage and this guy caused your marriage to fall apart. You say you rented her an apartment-did she move out of your house to live in NC? Was this a separation thing or just a place for her to come to sometimes?

You will have to file a complaint alleging the marriage and his interference.
