Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina

I got a really bum deal on a divorce settlement. They used 2008 tax return, I am self employed in remodeling, income way way down. Plus, the ex's attorney misinterpeted them and in court my attorney did not represent me well. I was forced to sign an agreement for an amount I cannot pay. My attorney had to file to stop representing me for failure to pay. I have no attorney, cannot afford another. this agreement was signed 2 mon ago and now they sent me a motion to show cause for failure to pay full amount. I was about 250.00 shy, but have gone 10,000 into debt in one year and have no other credit..tryin to pay her the amount the court ordered and we agreed on.

Question//do I have to have an attorney present for this?

Having a lawyer may help you avoid 30 days in jail for contempt. Otherwise, no.
