Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina
Child custody
I am a homosexual woman who has two children. My ex-husband filed an ex-parte custody order to get custody. I fought and was never found to be unfit, although I feel I proved him to be, the judge still gave him custody of my children. My-ex did eventually sign over custody of my oldest child after his new girlfriend's son sexually assaulted our daughter. She was 16 the son was 15. The court ordered that the son not be left alone with either of my children. Even with this I still did not get custody. His now wife gave my son an overdose of an anti-depressant a few months ago and he had to be rushed to the hospital. This is not all but the point is how do I get custody of my son. He is in danger both physically and emotionally while in the custody of my ex-husband.
