Re: Child Rights

There is no set age for this in Idaho. The court makes

the decision as to whether the child is mature enough

to listen to the child as to custody. However, this usually

happens only in custody cases filed with the court.

If you are 16 or 17, generally the court will accede to the

child's wishes although the court must make the finding that

it is in the best interests of the child to do so.
