Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina

Confused on what state to file in.

If I got married in Louisiana and have lived in North Carolina for 5 years. Can I still file for divorve in Louisiana and go by their requirements? Also, does living separate and apart mean separate domiciles. I have slept on the couch for over six months without any sexual contact. Does this count?

If you were to move back to Louisiana you could file for divorce in Louisiana. Otherwise I suggest filing in North Carolina.
