Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina

custody

my husband and i have been separated i am in tx and he is in nc he is coming here to take the kids away from me for no reason other than i have to go to indiana to go drive my grandma's car down and will be gone for 5 days but my mom will be here watching them. he says i am abanding them can you please tell me what i can do to stop him from taking them a temprary custody or restraining order for the boys he is not in the right mind to have the kids he has said he was going to commet suicide on two different times and called the cops the last timel. i am scared for my kids sake. and he breaks stuff and screams and so on and thats not something that the kids need to see or hear, i have voicemails on my phone where he gets out of control. please help me i dont want to put my kids in danger. and i dont have the money for an attorney he has tooken all of that and forged my signature on the goverment check and i have proof of that as well.

You need a court order immediately, and should not leave the kids unattended until you have one. Either find the money to hire a lawyer or convince Legal Aid to take your case. Until there is a court order, there is nothing to stop him from picking up the kids.
