Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina
I am going through a divorce, I have been legally separated for about two years now. I had a child after filing for divorce, I’m trying to add my child’s biological father on the birth certificate. I have an affidavit of parentage signed as well as a DNA test. How can I get the biologicals name on the birth certificate while also completing my divorce?

The two things are separate and do not have anything to do with the other. It is easier to just hire an attorney to do everything for you. For example, if your spouse is cooperative, the divorce can be done for a flat rate fee of $395 which covers everything. That often works out to be close to or even less than you bumbling around and screwing it up yourself. Just go to easyncdivorce.com The legitimization needs to be done locally but is a fairly simple process as well.
