Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina

I am not actually divorced yet but my son has an outstanding hospital bill of $500. It was at Approx. 1350 of which I have paid 850 of and his mother refuses to pay any of it. How can I force her to do so without the divorce?

That is not a divorce issue, but a child support issue.
