Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina

I am in Durham, North Carolina where I share custody with my 3-year-old son's father, with judgment for two weeks with me, then two with his father, alternating. The father and his wife have, without my consent, started an enrollment process for a local head start program. I have voiced that I disagree with this choice and have other options in mind, particularly since the majority of the contacts with the facility have been from the stepmother, who is not cited on any of our court documents. How do I go about reversing or avoiding my child's enrollment in the program without my consent?

Why would you want to? A Head Start Program sounds like a good thing for the child. Further, you didn't list any reasonable objections and the one objection you did mention, that 'the majority of the contacts with the facility have been from the stepmother' is likely completely unreasonable, baseless and meritless and will lead most judges to assume you have no valid objection and that your concern is based merely on some irrational petty jealousy / dislike of the new wife. If you have nothing more than what was stated here - the father and new wife are likely to come out looking like saintly parents of the year who are stuck dealing with a crazed psycho ex. In order to be successful in blocking this enrollment you will need to come up with some actual legitimate objection(s) to the facility, the program and/or other things such as interference with the visitation schedule. Best of luck to you!
