Emancipation

Is it possible to request emancipation if the minor is under the age of sixteen, but can thoroughly prove that he/she is ready for the responsibilities and he/she can provide for themselves?

I am not aware of any specific age cut off for a minor to be eligible for emancipation. However, I would note that the remedy of emancipation is usually a foolish move even for a minor over age

16; for one less than 16 it is doubly foolish.
