Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina

Self Employed husband, who doesn't want me to have anything

I have been with my husband for almost 11 year and marriaged just 2. We have two children together. He wants me to leave and we are in the process of building our second home (first brand new one). He has his own truck company and I don't take care of his paperwork. I don't even know what he makes. He tells me that the company is in the kids name and then he says its in his mothers name. So if I tried, I couldn't get anything from the business if something happened. I don't have anyway of getting his tax information or nothing! I want to leave, but I don't know if Im intitled to anything if I go. Please help me!

Re: Self Employed husband, who doesn't want me to have anything

You can leave the residence while maintaining your rights regarding Child Custody, Child Support, Spousal Support and division of property. After you leave, you can then begin negotiation regarding the above or, if that fails, petition the Court to resolve the matters above. I recommend contacting an attorney prior to leaving. Feel free to contact my office to discuss hiring us to represent you if you determine it is best for you to have legal counsel.
