Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina

My father & mother are still married but have been separated for 20 years. My father remarried a few years ago (although they did not stay together either). He was in a car accident & is now incompetant & the 2nd wife is trying to claim benefits from him although she knows her marriage is void. I am his legal guardian so how do I go about gettting an anulment for him?

Speak to a family law attorney. My understanding is that an annulment is not neccesary as the marriage never existed under NC law.
