grandparent visitation rights

grandchildren (3) live in north carolina and grandparents reside in michigan. after years of visitation during summer months, visits aburptly stopped.

Grandparents do have some rights in Michigan, but at the end of the day, it's a family matter that should be a matter of agreement.

If the couple are married, you have no rights in Michigan to force parents to send their children to you.

It's only in a divorce situation that the court has jurisdiction to consider parental rights, and thus, grandparental rights.
