Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina

If my husband and I divorce, am I still entitled to half if he owned the house and property before we were married?

No. Anything you or the husband owned solely prior to marriage is his or your respective separate property. Property does not become marital solely by marriage. It may become marital if commingled or by adding your name to the deed of real estate.
