Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina

My husband left me and our two children. He abandoned us and moved out of state. He has made no effort to financially support us. I filed for full custody today, and he agrees I should have full custody, but wants visitation here, and in his state he relocated to. What are my chances of terminating his rights?

Based on the information you provided, you have zero chance of legally terminating his rights because only a judge can do that but even if you did petition the Court your odds are slim and none because the fact that he abandoned you and pays no support is irrelevant to his right to visitation. You should consult an attorney to see if you have other grounds to terminate his rights but keep in mind that if you do get his rights terminated you are also not going to receive any child support.
